#54 Type 1 Diabetic Chooses to Love the Life She&;s Living

In this episode, Allison Hodges shares her story of being diagnosed as a Type 1 Diabetic at age 25. She shares her journey through life before, during, and after diagnosis. This includes: continuing to pursue her love of acting, getting married, starting a family, and now, more recently, her son’s recent T1D diagnosis. This girl is totally unstoppable when it comes to choosing to love the life she’s living!

Allison calls Woodstock City Church home, and there you will know her as our KidStuf Actor and UpStreet Storyteller. Very frequently, you can also get a glimpse of her at our local theater. You will find her performing and directing at the Elm Street Performing Arts Center

Life with Type 1 Diabetes is no easy task, but Allison definitely makes it look as if it is. She is a champion + trooper + survivor + lover of life. If you ever get the chance to talk to her about her husband and kiddos, I encourage you to do so. You will immediately see her light up like a fireworks show. Allison also has a special way of making you feel welcome and comfortable when you’re in her space.

As we mentioned in the show, Allison is also a LulaRoe Stylist. She absolutely loves helping and encouraging women to be confident in who they are and how they look. Check out her unique line of LulaRoe clothing on her Facebook Page. There, you will find frequent opportunities to shop for your very own style.
