In part 3 of this video series, I invited Garrett Holcombe to share his perspective on how he and his family have handled COVID-19, Coronavirus shutdown. We talk through my quarantined questions in hopes of shedding some positivity, hope, and good news.
Garrett is the President of Horizon Planning Group Inc, and he is known for having a heart of a teacher when it comes to his clients. He currently serves clients across the US and is a Smartvestor Professional with Dave Ramsey. His passion for financial independence and prosperity for all is very evident in our conversation.
Garrett and his wife, Amber served as foster parents for 2-½ years until they adopted their two children in 2018. They are still actively involved in fostering and currently serve as respite parents with their fostering agency.
As I did a little research, I found a quote on Garrett’s Facebook page, and I asked him to explain his thoughts about it. The quote says, “Political Correctness: a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of poop by the clean end.” – Author Unknown
We talk about what a proper emergency fund should look like and how we need to react to our current investments due to the declining market.
He also explains why he once shoved a Marine off his boat and how toilet paper isn’t as necessary around his home as, apparently, it is in most homes.
